After a lot of rain yesterday and a decidedly cool start this morning, it’s turning into a lovely day. The sun is shining, the dog is sunbathing, and err, I’m sat here typing. Something wrong with that picture!
A quick project to share with you today! The postman bought me some goodies from my latest SU order, which included some yummy felt flowers presented in a tin. This is what happened to the tin:
I told you I might surprise you with something that wasn’t a square card, and even I was surprised that it happened so soon! This is essentially my first altered item (unless you count a couple of tins I covered in Paper Perfect two Christmasses ago. I don’t. 😉 ), so I was a little cautious and kept it pretty simple. Having found it a lot easier than I expected, I’m feeling quite brave, so you can expect to see more altered items in the near future (uh-oh).
Inside the tin are some of the yummy buttons from Quixotic Paperie. They don’t fit into my existing drawers, which are overflowing, so I thought a cute little button tin was the way to go! After all, what’s more fun than rummaging around in a box full of yummy buttons? Plus, it fits with the first Just Magnolia monthly challenge which is to alter a container. Whoo!
Back to Copic Markers today, and you’ll find the list of colours used on Tilda at the end of this post. The papers are DCWV Blossoms & Butterflies. Ribbon is SU from stash. Buttons are, of course, Quixotic Paperie.
Blog Candy – open to UK and EU readers only this time!
I received something else in the post this morning, a letter from ParcelForce asking me to pay a customs charge so they can release a parcel from the US.
This parcel could contain any of the following: Paper Pretties Stamps, Paper Makeup Stamps, C.C. Designs Stamps, Alota Stamps, Ribbons, or even Shimmerz. At this point, your guess is as good as mine!
So, with that in mind, let me have your guess! The parcel is due to be delivered on Tuesday, so you have until Midnight GMT on Monday 29th June to leave your guess as a comment on this post. The first correct guess posted will win one item from the parcel! So, you could be winning some yummy ribbon, a pot of Shimmerz paint, or a stamp from one of the companies mentioned. Limited to one guess per person.

Hi Elaine
Love your new blog – cards are as beautiful as ever.
I hope the parcel contains CC stamps ’cause I’ll be the winner hehehe!!
Gorgeous Tin Elaine, I love the DP and the tilda image so cute. I think it might be the CC designs stamps, I’m keeping everything crossed as I can’t wait to buy some and ink them up lol hugs Jill xx
Stunning tin Elaine, your DP is gorgeous and your colouring stunning. My guess is Shimmerz…I’ll keep my fingers crossed.

Oh your tin is so gorgeous and I’m going to make the first guess of Paper Pretties Stamps.
Thanks
Jan xx
The tin is gorgeous… I find myself hoarding the strangest items nowadays – like my bf’s smock shirt’s button box, which was basically a cardboard box a little smaller than a matchbox. He threw it to the paper trash and I recovered it half an hour later 😀
I’ll go for a guess too, C.C. Designs Stamps! Just because they are cute and I have none 😉
xx,
nunt
ps. isn’t customs just plain blah – holding up your stamping goodies like that 😀
That tin is fab. But my guess will be that every thing you mentiond will wil in that parcel.
xx Carine
