Today I’m sharing with you my very first Christmas card for 2009.  It definitely feels a little strange to be making Christmas cards this early, even though the weather recently has been more like Autumn than Summer.  The new My Mind’s Eye Colourful Christmas papers were just too tempting, I had to play with them!

I followed this week’s sketch from the Friday Sketchers challenge and I’ve used one of the gorgeous Anya stamps from the Rain Snow Shine Anya Set.

Anya has of course, been coloured with Copic Markers, with an airbrushed background.  The full list of colours can be found at the end of this post.  I added sparkle using a Sakura Clear Stardust Gelly Roll pen, and you can see this more clearly in the picture below.

The snowflakes are Hero Arts Felt Snowflakes.  The blues ones have been airbrushed with Copics to match the papers, and I then covered them all with Shimmerz Blingz in “Pixie Dust” (new stock due this week).   In the centre of each is a Jewel Brad.

The inside of the card has been decorated to match the front.  Don’t you just love that Christmas Tree paper design?

I love these papers, they’re perfect for those more fun and non-traditional Christmas cards, and Anya certainly works perfectly in funky colours!
