Well, after a few false starts, my mojo seems to have come creeping back! Thank goodness, I have so many projects to complete.
First things first – the latest releases from C.C. Designs have arrived at Quixotic Paperie! The designs are all adorable, and range from the fabulous new Kiki La Rue stamps to the gorgeous new Swiss Pixie in my card below.
I am seriously loving the new images, not least because this is my absolute favourite time of year, and isn’t the newest addition to the Swiss Pixies range – Pippi – just adorable?
This card features a number of my latest addictions – a Swiss Pixies image, Shimmerz, Kraft cardstock, My Mind’s Eye papers and crochet ribbon. Yum!
Pippi has been coloured using Copic Markers (no surprises there), and you will find the full list at the end of this post. Her wings have been covered with Shimmerz Candlelight.
Once again I’ve used one of my favourite My Mind’s Eye packs – Bloom & Grow. The papers are perfect for this time of year, gorgeous colours that work just as well for Autumn as they do for Summer.
The Kraft cardstock I’ve used is from Elzybells – totally delish. I’ve covered the visible edges with Shimmerz Candlelight.
If, like me, you love layering with shimmery cardstock, Shimmerz are an excellent way to achieve the effect, and potentially cheaper in the long run as a pot of Shimmerz lasts for ages, especially if you’re just painting the edges as I have on this card. Easy to apply and far less mess than glitter!
Pippi is sitting in one of the lovely Pumpkin Nestabilities shapes. I followed Bev’s tutorial again for tracing and cutting out slightly smaller layers to mat. I’ve also used the same technique on the inside.
And that’s it!
I’ve been a terrible blogger again over the last week, apologies to everyone! I’ll be taking some much needed time to blog-hop this weekend. Looking forward to checking out all of your fantastic creations.
Lots of exciting things coming up here on the blog and over at Quixotic Paperie in the coming weeks, so be sure to watch this space! Thanks for dropping by!!
PS. For those that you that haven’t seen, our fabulous Quixotic Paperie DT member – Rowena aka CraftyPagan – is offering some very generous blog candy over on her blog CraftyPagan Designs, go and check it out! Rowena is celebrating reaching 20,000 hits. Congratulations Ro! You could win a voucher to spend on yummy stash at Quixotic Paperie, and a lovely stamp from Sugar Nellie.

What a cute card, the black lace looks great for a Hallowe’en card! Tricky one though, like so many of us in the UK I don’t “do” Hallowe’en… But if I did, I’d love the Nestie, great one to use
Wow Hun this is stunning I just love this stamp and the gorgeous Pumpkin, what a brilliant nestie, I am trying not to spend anymore money until I go to Ally Pally as I will have nothing left when I get there. You do the most beautiful colouring dear and are a complete inspiration
