What an exciting week. First the launch of Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps, and now the launch of the Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps Challenge!
The first challenge is a really easy one – make a Birthday card! Yep, that’s it! You could easily use any of the stamps for this one, but Dorothy (the party deer!) and Francesca are particularly ideal choices!
For those of you in the UK wishing to join in with the challenges, you can order the stamps from me at Quixotic Paperie. A new delivery of the Moonlight Whispers girls is set to arrive during next week.
By joining in with the challenge, you could win a stamp of your choice from Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps, so make sure you come and play along! And, because we realise that not all of you have your Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps yet, you can play along with any stamp you choose! Full details in this post.
On to my card!
For this challenge I’ve chosen to use Posy, one of the Moonlight Whispers girls designed by Annie Rodrigue. I love these images, and totally agree with Michele Boyer – they are a bit “twisty” and that’s definitely the appeal!
I’ve coloured Posy with Copics, and you will find a list of the colours used at the end of this post. I also used Shimmerz to accent the image, in some of the new vintage colours – Wed Wagon and Mossy stone.
I’m desperately trying to break my habit of always creating plain old square cards, so this time I’ve gone for a gatefold card, albeit a square gatefold card! The papers are from Stampin’ Up, sent to me by a friend from the US. Ribbon is from my stash, and please excuse my shabby bow tying! Inside I’ve used the SU Top Note die, also sent to me by a friend.
And that’s that!
Make sure you pop on over to the Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps Challenge Blog and check out the rest of the creations from the Design Team. We’d love to see you all playing along too!
