You may be aware by now that Mo Manning of Mo’s Digital Pencil recently started her own challenge blog. Well, she helped Bella and Bronte to start their challenge blog. *grin* You can check it out HERE.
Bella and Bronte’s favourite colour is “perple”, and so, to enter this first challenge, all you have to do is include as little or as much of the colour purple on your card/project as you like!
I love purple, and thankfully am growing more comfortable using it in my work! I used to find purple cards rather challenging, for some reason. So, with my newly acquired knack with purple, I set about creating a card using the fantastic Goth Girl image.
My card was inspired by my fellow DT member Rach, who created this brilliant design using the same image. I’m a big fan of Rach’s colouring and general creative talents, so I’m thrilled to be on Mo’s DT alongside her (and everyone else).
The papers I’ve used are from the American Traditional Designs Tricks and Treats specialty paper pad – available HERE. The black Raffia Lace is available HERE and has been covered in Shimmerz Hi Ho Silver available HERE.
I wanted to use a Rose Charm (available HERE) to finish off the card, but to start with the charm was a little too silver to fit with the rest of the card. So I spritz some Shimmerz Spritz Licorice (available HERE) onto a saucer, and used it to paint the charm. The Shimmerz collected in the recesses and darkened it just enough.
There’s still plenty of time to join in with this first challenge, the next one is on Thursday 15th October.
