Another Wednesday is now upon us! This week I’m pretty happy about that, as it means my trip to the dentist is over and done with, and I’m a step closer to seeing Alice in Wonderland!
We’ve got a new challenge for you over at Quixotic Challenges, set by yours truly!
***Altered Anya & Friends***
Alter one or more of your TGF stamps e.g give Anya stripey tights, use the head and body from two different images, give Anya open eyes etc
I’ve been totally inspired over the last few months, by Amy Young’s fantastic alterations, and also by Traci Porter aka WickedPixie who, some time ago, created the most awesome Batman & Joker card (I am a sucker for all things Batman). The TGF images are just ideal for altering with their bold, simple lines.
Amy Young is joining us as a guest this week over at Quixotic Challenges, seemed fitting, as she has totally inspired me to play around with images more. Amy has a few tutorials on altering images that may prove useful, so here are the links!
Amy’s Altering 101 *** Amy’s Altering 101 Part Deux *** Amy’s Altering Round Two
There are some additional requirements and an additional prize this time, so do be sure to read the challenge post carefully! This challenge will also be running for two weeks, so you have plenty of time to think of something fab, and to get hold of any TGF stamps and supplies you need!
Time to show you my creation! I’m a little obsessed with Alice in Wonderland at the moment, as I am dying to see the film. Tim Burton + Alice in Wonderland = OMGOMGOMG.
What do you think? I’ve combined Wild Sprout Hugh (available HERE) with the outfit from the TGF Wonderland set (now available at TGF in digi form). I had to size the digi up a bit to make it the right size for Hugh. Because I was so in love with the results, I decided to make a hanger for my craftroom, rather than a card. Oh, and I also gave Hugh the Mad Hatter’s mouth from the Wonderland set!
Coloured with Copics, as usual:
Skin: E0000, E000, E00, E11, E04 Hair: E04, E07, E09, YR20
Outfit: 100, C3, C4, C5, C7, C8, C9, RV93, RV95, Y11, Y19, E51, E53, E04, E07, E09
Papers are from my stash of Basic Grey 12×12. The stunning AB Black rhinestones are available HERE. I love these, they give such a gorgeous rainbow effect in the light. I applied them following one of the flourish patterns from the new Fantasy Flourish Jewel Templates set from Bazzill Basics (available HERE).
Traci aka WickedPixie has also created an altered TGF Mad Hatter this week, using a totally different selection of stamps. Love it! Check hers out HERE.
I do hope you will pop on over to the challenge blog, check out the DT creations and join in with us! Remember, you have TWO WEEKS to join in this time!
Your altering and sewing are just fabulous! Really love your card, I’m new to Quixotic so I’ll have to go check out the challenge blog now!
