Today I’d like to show you a card I made a few weeks ago for Paul’s father’s 70th birthday!
I wanted to keep it simple and elegant, so I went for a black, white and gold colour scheme.
I used the STEMPELGLEDE ORNATE COLLECTION stamp set with Versamark ink on TIM HOLTZ GRUNGEPAPER, then sprinkled with gold mica powder. I dusted off the excess mica powder and set it with a chalk fixative spray. Love the effect, but hate the mess mica powder creates!!! I then used one of the Tim Holtz dies to cut out the shape. Voila! Haha! Sewed the layers, added some wide black satin ribbon and then popped some BLACK 8MM FLATBACK PEARLS in the corners. I had some chipboard numbers in my stash, so I painted them with black acrylic paint and added them on top.
NOTE: the latest Stempelglede delivery is due to hit Quixotic Paperie very soon, so if there’s something you have your eye on, drop me an email via the store website and add your name to the reserve list.
