Today sees two fabulous mini releases from SCACD Stamps. One collection of four images illustrated by Elisabeth Bell and another collection of four illustrated by Victoria Case. Both collections are small but perfectly formed!!
** If you are in the UK/Europe then you can find the new designs from SCACD Stamps in stock at Quixotic Paperie! **
You should have hopped over here from KIM’S FABULOUS BLOG. If not, then make sure you hop to Suzanne’s Blog and start from the beginning! There are some fantastic images to check out, and the design team has plenty of inspiration for you!
This new release includes my absolute favourite Elisabeth Bell image EVER. And here she is!
** ELISABETH BELL FOR SCACD – ANGEL OF HOPE **
(available in the UK at Quixotic Paperie)
Utterly gorgeous, no? And an absolute joy to colour – love the wings, the dress, the hair, love it all! I’ve used her on a Christmas card, but she could definitely be used for other occasions – I’m already picturing her on a card with the “Friends are angels…” sentiment.
The yummy papers are Memory Box – Mistletoe (Memory Box papers are available in the UK at Quixotic Paperie). The fancy oval was cut using Spellbinders Nestabilities Beaded Ovals. All the Kraft layers have been covered in Shimmerz Blingz – Gold Glimmer for some gorgeous festive shimmer. I also used a Magnolia Doohickeys lace border die. The perfect little bow was tied using the Bow-Easy Template (the Bow-Easy is available in the UK at Quixotic Paperie).
I coloured Angel of Hope using Copic Markers:
Skin: E000, E00, E11, R20, R21 Hair: E30, E34, E35, E57 Wings: E41, E43 Dress: YR0000, Y21, Y26, Y28 Bird: E50, E53
NOTE: For those of you who like to get tips on Copic colouring, I will be posting a tutorial over on the Color Me Copic blog using this very image on 8th October!
The layout was taken from an older Friday Sketchers sketch, which you can see on their sketch archive blog – Friday Sketchers – The Sketches. Very useful!
I hope you enjoyed my card today as much as I enjoyed creating it! Happy hopping and happy shopping!
Your next stop on the hop is ALEX’S WONDERFUL BLOG! Enjoy! And if you get lost along the way, stop by the SCACD store blog for the full list and details on the release!
You can buy all the new stamps today either from Susana’s Custom Art & Card Design in the US
OR in the UK from Quixotic Paperie!
