Whimsy Stamps June Release Hop & Crissy’s Journey Into The Sea

It has been a hectic month here so far! So much so, that I didn’t realise until a couple of days ago that the Whimsy Stamps release hop and my Sundays with Crissy challenge post would fall on the same day. So, in the interests of preserving my sanity, I’ve combined the two!

This month the theme is Here Comes The Sun, which loosely ties in with my card today…using one of Crissy’s new images in rubber from Whimsy Stamps! How does it tie in? Well, mermaids and underwater themes always seem to crop up over Summer!  See the main challenge post for this month to get your entries in!

CARD DETAILS!

For my card I have used one of Crissy Armstrong’s gorgeous new images.  I fell in love with this one, mostly because of the hair!  I love colouring long flowing hair, so this one was ideal for me.  Plus I love fantasy images, particularly mermaids.  The image is called JOURNEY INTO THE SEA.

Coloured with Copic Markers on MAKE IT COLOUR BLENDING CARD.  Designer paper is from Graphic 45 On The Boardwalk. The gorgeous detailed corners are from a Make It Crafty Lasercut Chipboard pack, and I made them sparkle with a Sakura Glitter Pen before adding some flatback pearls.
