2011 In Review

The festivities are almost over, along with the year, and we’re all looking back over 2011, getting ready to look forward to what 2012 will bring.  As usual, I didn’t complete anywhere near what I wanted to do this Christmas in terms of crafty projects.  I have, however, achieved something more important – I have relaxed and enjoyed.  So, I’m not going to beat myself up for not sharing more here on my blog this December, I just hope you all had as nice and relaxing a Christmas as we did here!

Elisabeth Bell for SCACD Stamps – New Friends.

This is one of my favourite stamps, and I was particularly pleased with how the card turned out!

Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps – Patsy & Jukebox

Definitely among my favourite stamp releases from 2011, I loved colouring this little scene.

Mo’s Digital Pencil – Pirate Scene

One of my favourite things to do when stamping and colouring is create little scenes, and this one was a lot of fun to put together!

Stamping Bella – Polaroid Annie

I love how cute little Annie looks masked with the polaroid frame stamp.

* MAY *

Carmen Medlin for SCACD Stamps – The Travellers

One of the most gorgeous stamps added to my collection in 2011.  I absolutely adore Carmen Medlin’s stamps from SCACD, and this is a particular favourite.  I was particularly pleased with how this card turned out as I coloured the image with Distress Inks rather than my usual alcohol based markers!

Paper Makeup Stamps & Make it Crafty stamps merged circus scene.

Definitely one of my colouring highlights from 2011.  This one took a while, but I was so pleased with how it turned out.

Elisabeth Bell for SCACD Stamps – Secret Garden Peeker

This one turned out so pretty, with the adorable image and those gorgeous Make it Crafty chipboard accents.

* AUGUST *

Sylvia Zet for SCACD Stamps – Poppy

Sylvia Zet’s first stamp release through SCACD has to be one of my stamping highlights of 2011, and little Poppy is a definite favourite.

* SEPTEMBER *

Sylvia Zet for SCACD Stamps – Winter Wonder

Another Sylvia Zet cutie, I was particularly pleased with the colouring on this one, and the overall effect.

* OCTOBER *

Crissy Armstrong – Noah’s Ark

I had a LOT of fun colouring this one, so it has to be one of my faves for the year, plus of course it was a 1st birthday card for our gorgeous niece.

* NOVEMBER *

Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps – Voodoo Lady

Big favourite here, this image from Annie Rodrigue is right up my street!

* DECEMBER *

Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps – White Rabbit

December has been a pretty lean month on the blog here so there wasn’t much to choose from, but I do love this card, and I am a sucker for Alice in Wonderland themed images/papers!
