Happy Saturday! We’ve got a nice quiet weekend planned, as it is Paul’s birthday tomorrow, so we’re going to hang out and relax. Well, after I make his birthday card that is…I know, I’m very last minute! When it comes to making cards for specific people, I can be incredibly indecisive.
Anyway! This week’s challenge over at Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps is to create something SPOOKY. Pretty simple, since the Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps range includes some fantastic Halloween images (that are perfect for more than just Halloween, if you’re like me and enjoy creepy/spooky/kooky all year round).
Our hostess this week is the lovely Jenny, and if you join in using a Kraftin’ Kimmie stamp, you could win the stamp featured on her card today! All you have to do is submit your entry over on the Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps challenge blog (where you will find the other Krafty Girl Kreations and challenge guidelines/info).
On my card I have used one of my very favourite stamps in Annie Rodrigue’s Moonlight Whispers collection – BATTY PRINCESS (Batty Princess and a huge selection of other Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps designs are available in the UK at Quixotic Paperie).
I also created a little tag to go with the card, which pulls out from behind the image layer.
I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Make it Colour Blending Card and coloured with ShinHan Touch Twin Markers. The designer paper is from Echo Park Chillingsworth Manor 6×6. I added a little bow tied with the help of my Bow Easy template, embellished with two buttons nested together and some black twine. The little banner sentiment I added is from the Echo Park Chillingsworth Manor 12×12 kit – I actually cut it from the packaging insert sheet and mounted it on card! The image and mat were cut using Spellbinders Grand Circles nestabilities, and I simply cut the sides off!
I used the following MFT Die-Namics dies:
- MFT Die-Namics Spider Web – cut from silver mirri-card, seen poking out from behind the image.
- MFT Traditional Tags STAX – used to create the tag.
- MFT High Rise Alphabet Lowercase – used to create the word on the tag!
Spooktacular, no? 🙂 I hope you’ve enjoyed checking out my card, and remember, we would love to see you joining in the Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps Challenge!
Before I go, I’d also like to remind all my Canadian friends that the latest Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps Krafty Day is only a week away! If you would like to attend, and haven’t yet booked your place, hop on over to the website and do so! There are some fantastic make and takes planned by some of the Krafty Girls who are attending, and having seen this year’s Krafty Day stamp and the awesome tote bags (plus extra goodies) attendees will receive, you do not want to miss out.
Have a great weekend, whatever you’re up to!
