Phew. I fully intended to be back and blogging before now, but time has not been on my side! I have been working away on lots of colouring, but card-making and blogging proved to be too much of a stretch. Lots of boring “real life” stuff being sorted out at the moment, on top of the day to day things, so something just has to give. Plus, I’ve been working on redesigning the blog as you can probably see, and haven’t quite finished that yet either.
Anyway, I can share something a little fun today! I’m thrilled to join the La-La Land Crafts team today as a guest to help show off the new Halloween release (if you’re a regular here, you may know that I am a sucker for Halloween). So, enough waffling from me, here are all the details and my project!
In this new release we have FOUR new stamps, THREE new dies and ONE new Frames & Shapes Kit.
The new stamps include:
For the DIES we have:

Now for my project! I used the adorable CAULDRON WITCH MARCI along with the HALLOWEEN FRAMES & SHAPES KIT and the PUMPKINS and SPIDER WEB CORNER dies.
I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on
Make it Colour Blending Card and coloured with ShinHan Touch Twin Markers (available in the UK from
Jackson’s Art Supplies). I created the background using Tim Holtz Distress Inks on pearlescent card, which I sprinkled with water. The pumpkins were cut from the MiC card using the Pumpkins die and then coloured with markers. The chipboard frame was painted using Luminarte Silks in “Boysenberry”, the bat details were then painted using Gel Medium mixed with Lindy’s Stamp Gang Magicals in Screamin’ Banshee Black, to give the slightly textured leathery look along with some shimmer.
Marker details:

i loooove it
I love it, Elaine! And I’m so glad you posted what the frame actually is, a close-up view of it, AND the explanation of what you did with it. I’ve been looking around everywhere at LaLaLand for a full explanation (because I couldn’t quite grasp what the heck they were), and none of the designers have explained on their sites either. But BINGO – yours did the job for me! And gosh, your coloring is EPIC!
Amazing project, I keep coming back to look at it some more…
Absolutely brilliant – I am in awe of your colouring!!!!
ps. is it only me but I can’t seem to make the link to the products work – it keeps coming up with page 404!
