As mentioned in yesterday’s post – Marker Colour Combos: Tiddly Inks Pumpkin in Copics & Touch Twin – I have two versions of the same card to share with you today. The stamped images on one were coloured with Copic Markers and on the other they were coloured with ShinHan Touch Twin Markers.
If you have been visiting my blog for a while, you may be aware that I used to be a part of the Touch Twin design team. I am no longer on the team, but I do still love the markers. I also love my Copic markers and have been wanting to work on ways to bring you information about both brands. I have a number of “Touch Twin Marker Maps” in older blog posts, and will be bringing you more alongside the Copic Marker Palettes I have been creating for you. The Card – Copic Version:

Both image turned out fairly well. I haven’t done much colouring with my Touch Twin markers recently so I was a little rusty regarding the colours and I couldn’t find my hand coloured chart, so I need to print off another one to refer to before I work on more images!
I do prefer the hat in the Touch Twin version but I far prefer the purples of the dress and the tone of the hair in the Copic version (I definitely prefer the purple tones in the Copic range overall). I’m not thrilled with either background, but I wanted to keep it simple.
The Details:
All stamps used on both cards are from the Tiddly Inks Clear Stamps Bewitching set. Images were stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on my favourite Make it Colour Blending Card before colouring with Copic Markers and ShinHan Touch Twin Markers respectively.
I used the inlaid die-cutting technique to create a clean and simple design framing the image. The oval frame was die-cut using a Spellbinders Nestabilities Grand Oval die (the smallest one in the set) on white pearlescent cardstock which I coloured using Black Soot Distress Ink and misted with water. The card base was created from the same white pearlescent cardstock and coloured with markers to coordinate with the image. The flourishes were die-cut from the same cardstock using an MFT Die-Namics die and coloured with black marker. I also added a little Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen to the die-cut flourishes and card base to give some additional sparkle.
