I’ve got a sweet card to share with you today in honour of my Dad’s birthday.
Read on to see the full card along with a Copic Marker Colour Palette showing all the markers used on the image and a Copic speed colouring video!
The Waffle:
I am in love with the sweet Mama Elephant stamp set featured on my card today. The simple bear images are so sweet and they are easy to colour in a variety of styles. Keep them simple or go more detailed if you fancy it, they look great either way! The sentiments are absolutely lovely too.
My card is dedicated to my Dad. As many of you may be aware, my Dad passed away in October 2013. Today would have been his 75th birthday so Happy Birthday Dad, I think of you every day. If your father is still around, give him a big hug. If he isn’t, give yourself one from me.
I filmed the colouring process and have sped the footage up in a “Copic Speed Colouring Video” for you below. All the Copic colours used are shown in a palette at the end of the blog post.
I haven’t had time to complete the image I started colouring a few days ago for The Daily Marker 30 Day Colouring Challenge, it’s a little Make it Crafty scene I’ve been working on in 10 minute bursts! If you want to take a peek pop on over to my Instagram feed and take a look.

The Details:
The image and sentiment I used are both from the Mama Elephant “Bear Hugs” clear stamp set. The dies I used to create the card are from the Mama Elephant Femme Frames set.
I buy the majority of my Mama Elephant stamps and dies from my friend Tara at Make the Day Special here in the UK (she also carries the M.E. ink pads).
I stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on my favourite Make it Colour Blending Card before colouring with Copic Markers.
