I have the pleasure of being a guest over on the Make the Day Special store blog today! I was delighted to be invited by Tara as you may be aware that I frequently stalk her store for the latest releases from numerous fun US stamp and die companies.
If you haven’t visited Make the Day Special before I highly recommend it, both for the selection of products available and Tara’s fantastic service.
The Card:
Stamp & Other Details:
The adorable and fun stamp I used is one of the new Stamping Bella releases: Tiny Townie Hayley the Super Hero. She comes with the sentiment I used “Be Your Own Hero”. Perfect for a fun encouragement or super birthday card!
US and International readers: you can find Tiny Townie Hayley the Super Hero and the rest of the new stamps direct at Stamping Bella (shipping is from the US).
UK/European readers: you can now find Tiny Townie Hayley the Super Hero and the other latest Stamping Bella releases at Make the Day Special here in the UK. I highly recommend Tara’s store for the speedy dispatch and awesome customer service.
I coloured the image and Copic galaxy background on Make it Colour Blending Card (my favourite for colouring with Copic and other alcohol based markers). One of the many reasons this is my favourite is for techniques like this background. Make it Colour Blending Card is one of the best papers I have used for colourless blender techniques, moving colour around with the colourless blender is a breeze on this paper.
Before I coloured the background, I die cut the image using a Lawn Fawn Large Stitched Rectangle Die and a Paper Smooches Waves border die to create the scalloped borders at the top and bottom, which I coloured with Copic markers to coordinate with the image. To finish the card off I added some small adhesive gems.
Copic Marker Colour Palette:
If you own the Stamping Bella “Tiny Townie Hayley the Super Hero” stamp, you can obtain a free Copic Colour Map from Emily at Stamping Bella showing how I coloured her. See HERE for details.
Thanks for stopping by!

Pop back tomorrow to see another example of this galaxy/starry sky background combined with “No Line” colouring on a very fun character card. I am also hoping to share a video of this technique later in the week, so watch out for that!
