Saturated Canary Panda Hugs Card & Copic Marker Colour Palette - www.markergeek.com

Read on to see my card for today featuring an adorable Saturated Canary image and a Copic Colour Palette to go with it!

Waffle:

It has been a while since I found made the time to colour a Saturated Canary image, so when I was asked to make a special card for my little niece to give to someone I was delighted that I had the perfect image in my Saturated Canary digi collection. I think I may have caught the bug again, so watch out for more Saturated Canary in the near future. 😉

If you want to keep an eye on what I’m colouring, follow me over on Instagram where I share frequent peeks at the colouring I’m doing along with other day to day snaps.

Stamp & Other Details:

The digital stamp image featured on my card is Saturated Canary – Panda Hug.

I printed the image on Make it Colour Blending Card (my favourite for colouring with Copic and other alcohol based markers) before colouring with Copic Markers. I use a CANON Pixma iP7250 printer * to print my digital stamp images, it takes the 250gsm Make it Colour card and thicker cardstocks nicely and the PIXMA ink plays nicely with Copics in my experience.

The sentiment (inside and out) was created on the computer. The inside reads “Thank you for being one of mine.”.

I used Lawn Fawn Large Stitched Rectangle dies to cut the image layer for the card front and also the layer with the sentiment to go inside the card. available here in the UK from Make the Day Special. I added a tiny bit of sparkle to the heart on the girl’s jeans with a Wink of Stella clear glitter brush pen and I covered the panda’s nose with Ranger Glossy Accents as a fun little detail.

The heart banner was die cut with a Penny Black die and coloured with Copic markers to coordinate with the image.

I create my own card blanks using a Fiskars High Precision Personal Paper Trimmer *, a Martha Stewart Scoring Board * and bone folder * (I don’t like the plastic scoring tools, I use a bone folder and have had mine for several years).

Copic Marker Colour Palette:

I used the following shades: Light Flesh, Cinnamon and Dark Sepia.
