Mama Elephant Tandem Ride Birthday Shaker Card - www.markergeek.com

Read on to see my card for today featuring the adorable new Luli Bunny stamp sets from Mama Elephant!

Waffle:

It was our niece’s 9th birthday on Thursday, and since she and her sister loved the Mama Elephant stamps so much when they visited recently, I knew I had to use my most recent additions to make her card! You can see an earlier and very different card from me using the same stamp sets HERE.

At the end of this post you will find a set of Copic Combo suggestions for the animal images in one handy pinnable image!

You can see all of my posts that include Copic Marker Colour Palettes HERE if you’re looking for some suggestions for your own colouring.

The Shaker Card:

Is it wrong that I wanted to keep this one? So. Cute. My niece loved it though, so I’m happy!

The shaker material is just a random assortment of sequins and tiny beads from my stash. Making shaker cards is helping me to finally use up some of the stuff I’ve been hoarding forever!

I decorated the inside of the card too, to make it extra special:

As you can see I couldn’t resist using more of the images from the stamp sets. So cute.

Stamps & Other Details:

Clear Stamps: Mama Elephant Tandem Ride, Mama Elephant Tandem Extras and Mama Elephant Surprise Sentiments available from Make the Day Special here in the UK.

Dies: Mama Elephant Creative Cuts: Sew Fancy, Mama Elephant Tandem Ride Creative Cut and Mama Elephant Tandem Extras Creative Cut die sets plus Avery Elle – Numbered Balloons Elle-ment all available from Make the Day Special here in the UK.

I stamped the images with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Make it Colour Blending Card (my favourite for colouring with Copic and other alcohol based markers) before colouring with Copic Markers.

To create the shaker element I used a tip from Jennifer McGuire and die cut and layered some white craft foam to create a full backing for my card front. Makes it so much easier!

I die cut the number balloon from Make it Colour Blending Card and coloured with Copic Markers. The balloon string is a piece of silver elastic cord.

I create my own card blanks using a Fiskars High Precision Personal Paper Trimmer *, a Martha Stewart Scoring Board * and bone folder * (I don’t like the plastic scoring tools, I use a bone folder and have had mine for several years).
