The Greeting Farm & Make it Crafty Scene Card - www.markergeek.com

Read on to see my Copic coloured scene card for today featuring a lovely Make it Crafty digital background stamp and a sweet princess stamp from The Greeting Farm, plus Copic Marker Palettes to go with them!

Waffle:

I shared another scene card last Friday, featuring a Make it Crafty background with a cute character. If you missed it I would love for you to take a look, especially because the post draws attention to an important issue affecting the 11 year old daughter of my friend Barbara, owner of Little Miss Muffet Stamps: CAS Copic Scene Card for Cassandra. There is a petition to sign for Cassandra, and there is a free digi up for grabs. You can find all the details in my blog post.

It is making me very happy to be able to find time once again to put together little scenes and colour them. Colouring stamped scenes has long been a favourite of mine, and I missed it for a long time! I hope to be sharing many more with you in the near future.

You may recognise the sweet princess image from my month of colouring The Greeting Farm images during the Daily Marker 30 Day Colouring Challenge in June. I’m finally getting round to creating cards for some of the images I coloured during that month, and it seemed like great fun to pair them up with backgrounds.

Stamp & Other Details:

The sweet little princess on my card is from The Greeting Farm “Ever After” 8″x11″ stamp kit. I ordered mine via pre-order. The stamp kits tend to be fairly limited in availability, but if you keep an eye on the TGF social media pages and newsletter sometimes they do pop up again briefly! You can see my original blog post featuring this image HERE.

The gorgeous background is a digital image: Make it Crafty – Forbidden Tower.

I printed the background digital image on Make it Colour Blending Card (my favourite for colouring with Copic and other alcohol based markers) before colouring with Copic Markers. I use a CANON Pixma iP7250 printer * to print my digital stamp images, it takes the 250gsm Make it Colour card and thicker cardstocks nicely and the PIXMA ink plays nicely with Copics in my experience. See below for the full Copic Marker Colour Palette to go with my scene!

To create a frame for the image I used the largest die from My Favorite Things Die-Namics Stitched Rectangle Frames, layered a few times to create a nice sturdy frame with depth. I adhered the TGF Princess to the frame, with some foam pads behind the edges that overhang securing them to the card base. The sentiment is from the Mama Elephant Tandem Extras stamp set, die cut with one of the Lawn Fawn Small Stitched Circles dies.

I create my own card blanks using a Fiskars High Precision Personal Paper Trimmer *, a Martha Stewart Scoring Board * and bone folder * (I don’t like the plastic scoring tools, I use a bone folder and have had mine for several years).
