My Latest News:
I’m still having great fun joining in with the latest session of Kathy Racoosin’s #thedailymarker30day colouring challenge over on Instagram.
For those of you that haven’t been following over on Instagram, I have set up a separate page here on my blog to gather all my colouring challenge colouring, along with Copic Colour Maps for each image and links to colouring videos for them. Check the page out here: #thedailymarker30day Colouring Challenge July-Aug 2016.
I’m taking some time to relax and enjoy some low pressure colouring in my collection of adult colouring books. I introduced a new blog feature on Saturday showing one of my current favourite books and some colouring I’ve been working on: Colouring Book Therapy – Imagimorphia Colouring with Staedtler Ergosoft Pencils. If you’re a fan of colouring books, or want to see what it’s all about click on through and check out the post! Part Two of the colouring video will be posted this coming Saturday.
Today is Marker Geek Monday over on the Stamping Bella blog. After you’ve read this post, pop on over there to see how I coloured Tiny Townie Bree’s ruffled skirt! There’s a handy step by step image plus a video so you can get a good look at the process.
Stamping Bella Tiny Townie Bree Loves Buttercream Card:
Stamp: Stamping Bella Tiny Townie Bree Loves Buttercream.
Just love colouring that big puffy, ruffled skirt. You can see a quick video below showing how I coloured the whole image. Read my latest Marker Geek Monday post over on the Stamping Bella blog to see a slower version of just the skirt colouring.
I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Make it Colour Blending Card (my favourite for colouring with Copic and other alcohol based markers) before colouring with Copic Markers.
I wanted to keep this one quite clean and simple, and more importantly I wanted to try out my new Stamping Bella Cardstock Matcher rubber stamp! I used the stamp, my MISTI stamp tool and Ranger Archival Ink (Manganese Blue) to create my own coordinating base layer.
I didn’t have the right shade of red ink available for my middle layer so I employed one of my favourite tricks – creating coloured cardstock with Copic markers! I have a quick and easy step by step HERE showing how.
I used a mix of dies from the Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangles die sets.
I create my own card blanks using a Fiskars High Precision Personal Paper Trimmer *, a Martha Stewart Scoring Board * and bone folder * (I don’t like the plastic scoring tools, I use a bone folder and have had mine for several years).
