Some happy news today: not only do I seem to be shaking off the cold that has been plaguing me since late December, today also sees the return of Marker Geek Monday over at Stamping Bella! Read on for more details.
What is Marker Geek Monday?
Marker Geek Mondays are a weekly feature over on the Stamping Bella blog in which I give you some tips and inspiration for colouring Stamping Bella stamp images using markers and other colouring mediums. You can view all the past posts here: Marker Geek Monday Archive.
Today over on the Stamping Bella blog I’m sharing some tips for colouring wood using Copic Markers. Check out the post here: Marker Geek Monday Colouring Wood using Copic Markers. In the post you will find a colouring video and also some tips to help you get the hang of it.
Kissing Booth Squidgy Card:
Here’s another look at the card I made for the release, and full details on all the supplies I used to create it:
Card-Making Supplies Used:
Rubber stamp: Stamping Bella Kissing Booth Squidgy stamp set (includes the larger size image shown on my card and also a smaller version).
The entire Stamping Bella January 2017 release is also now available to pre-order here in the UK at Dies to Die For!
The image was coloured using Copic Markers UK link*/US link* on Make it Colour Blending Card. I also used a Sakura Stardust Gelly Roll pen in Clear UK link*/US link* to add some sparkle to the heart banner.
I use my MISTI stamp tool UK link*/US link* for all stamping.
Patterned papers are from a digital paper pack printed on cardstock using my CANON Pixma printer */US link*
I die cut the patterned paper frame around the image using the MFT Die-namics Die Set Stitched Rectangle Frames US link*. You can also find this die set at DiestoDieFor here in the UK.
I create my own card blanks using 300gsm cardstock, a Fiskars High Precision Personal Paper Trimmer */US link*, a Martha Stewart Scoring Board*/US link*. and bone folder*/US link*.
Watch how I coloured the whole image in the video below or in HD over on my YouTube channel!
