Do not adjust your screen or fall off your chair in surprise. It’s a bit of a shocker, but I have a post with no Stamping Bella stamps in sight! I know…let’s take a minute to process, it has been a while! Today I’ve got two cards to share, and a colouring video, featuring one of my other favourite stamp companies: MAMA ELEPHANT!
Chit-Chat:
A little chit chat before we get to the cards. Firstly I’d like to say a heartfelt thank you for all the love and feedback across social media and on my latest YouTube videos. I’m always happy to hear from you, and to know that you’ve found something inspiring or helpful.
Listening to my video commentaries is probably a little like watching Bambi learning to walk (only less cute), but hopefully I’ll get a little steadier as I practice. Or at least learn to stop saying “umm”. *rolling eyes* You will find today’s video towards the end of this post!
Mama Elephant The Bunny’s Hop Cards:
After Stamping Bella, Mama Elephant are one of my favourite stamp companies. They create some of the sweetest images and sentiments around. I particularly love the line up stamps they’ve been doing, and I think the only one I have yet to add to my collection is the snowman set! Today I’ve got a couple of cards and a video to share featuring the latest of the sets – The Bunny’s Hop! There is a die set available for this set, which I didn’t use on today’s cards.
Where to buy: I’m in the UK, and I buy all my Mama Elephant goodies from the lovely Tracy at Dies to Die For. The stamp set I used today is The Bunny’s Hop and you can also find the full selection Tracy has available HERE.
The sentiments on both cards were cut using my shiny new toy – the Cricut Maker electronic cutting machine*. I bought it as a housewarming gift for myself, and I am utterly in love. I will be writing a post dedicated to it soon, with more info and thoughts.
Both cards are fairly large – UK A5 size, so around 14.8cm x 21.0 cm. I stamped the bunnies on Make it Colour Blending Card using My Favorite Things Extreme Black ink, ready for colouring with Copics. Before Copic colouring however, I masked the bunnies and did some Distress Oxide ink blending to create the backgrounds. This works fairly well on the Make it Colour Blending card, because the Distress Oxides* have pigment ink properties they are quite creamy and blend well where the Distress Inks would be much more difficult on this paper. I spritzed lightly with water to get the spatter effect I love – I did have to be quite careful and use minimal water to avoid destroying the surface of the paper, but as you can see, it turned out nicely!
Copic Colouring Video:
Watch me colour the bunnies in the video below or in HD over on YouTube.
Full Copic details are provided in the video, along with some commentary. If you enjoy watching please do like and subscribe over on YouTube, it all helps!
Thanks for stopping by!
I hope you have enjoyed today’s post as much as I enjoyed creating it for you.

Loved watching your video. Your bunnies were so cleverly colored. I don’t know which I like more…the pink and yellow or the purple/blue. Both are just so adorable. Thanks for sharing and looking forward to more videos.
