Happy New Year! I do love the feeling of possibility a New Year seems to bring. Being a bit of a bookworm, one of my favourite end of year/beginning of year activities is planning all the reading I aspire to do during the year. Yesterday I thought I would go with that theme and create a card using an older Stamping Bella image – UPTOWN GIRL BETTY LOVES BOOKS. I also filmed the colouring process, so you can check that out too if you would like!
Uptown Girl Betty Loves Books Copic Colouring Video:
Watch me colour bookish Betty in the video below or in HD over on YouTube.
NOTE: if you’re in the UK/Europe you can find Stamping Bella stamps and dies at Dies to Die For here in the UK, including Uptown Girl Betty loves Books HERE.
Uptown Girl Betty Loves Books Card:
Here’s the card I created. As usual I stamped the image using My Favorite Things Extreme Black hybrid ink on Make it Colour Blending Card before colouring with Copic Markers.
After colouring I added some sparkle to the image using a glitter pen – it’s hard to see in the photo, but I added sparkle to the stripes on her tights, the bottom of her dress, the letter A, and some of the books in the stacks. I also added some Ranger Glossy Accents to her glasses for a fun dimensional touch.
Thanks for stopping by!
I hope you have enjoyed today’s post as much as I enjoyed creating it for you.
