The Stacey Yacula stamps from Purple Onion Designs are perfect for creating scenes either by stamping and masking or fussy cutting and layering, but they also work just as well for less involved designs. Today I’m sharing a fun design using just one of the new image stamps and a sentiment!
Sunny Meadow Fair Shaker Card
I’ll admit, I’m a little bit in love with the Fairground Background stamp. It works so well for setting the scene for the character stamps and other fairground elements, but it works really nicely on it’s own too. I just had to pop it in a little shaker card.
Stamps Used: Fairgrounds Background, Carnival/Fair Marquee Sentiments
I stamped the image using MFT Extreme Black ink on my preferred paper for Copic colouring – Make it Colour Blending Card. You will find a list of Copics used towards the end of this post.
I wanted to use the new Carnival/Fair Marquee sentiment on this card, but I didn’t want to have a big block covering any of the image, so I opted to stamp it out on white cardstock and then cut it apart. This is one of my favourite ways to make sentiment stamps work for a variety of designs, and it’s so easy to do.
To create the shaker card I used the Mama Elephant Madison Avenue Framed Tags die set, some clear acetate and gorgeous star sprinkles from Little Things by Lucy’s Cards.
