I had a little fun with both my usual Copic coloured stamping and my Cricut Maker for today’s cards.
Gill Friends Shaker Cards
I used the fun MFT Stamps Gill Friends stamp set on these cards.
I stamped some of the images from the set using My Favorite Things Extreme Black hybrid ink on Make it Colour Blending Card before colouring with Copic Markers.
I knew I wanted to create a porthole look, as if the underwater scene is being viewed from inside a boat! I don’t have any suitable dies, and I also decided I wanted to create shaker cards, so I needed some substantial frame pieces. Enter my Cricut Maker*! I’ve been using this machine more and more in my craft room recently for a variety of projects. It was really simple to create a circular frame design, which I then cut from foil card and also from really heavyweight card to layer up and create a nice shaker area.
I added some brads from my stash to enhance the porthole look.
That old but awesome Quickutz Moxie alphabet die set came out again, this time to die cut some Arteza Black Vinyl* to add the sentiments to each of the frames.
The shaker material is a mixture of some gorgeous Lucy’s Cards sequin shaker mixes and some microbeads from my stash.
Thanks for stopping by!
