Today I’ve got a new card featuring Purple Onion Designs stamps. The card is new, the stamps are old! I’ve actually had the stamps I used today in my collection for a number of years, they were among the very first Purple Onion Designs stamps I purchased. Happily they are still available to buy, so you will find links to them here in this post.
Happy Day Scene Card
The stamps I used on today’s card are all from Stacey Yacula’s The Sweetest Day collection, which I believe was the first set of stamps she designed for Purple Onion Designs. Time definitely flies when you’re having fun – it seems like just yesterday that I started my collection of their stamps.
Stamps used: Toadstool, Freckles (frog), Tucker (snail), Carnival/Fair Blurbs
I stamped and masked a playful scene, with Freckles hiding from his little pal Tucker. The images were stamped using Ranger Archival Shadow Grey ink on my favourite Make it Colour Blending card, ready for colouring with Copic markers.
I use Eclipse Masking Tape * to create my masks for stamped scenes like this.
I used one of the My Favorite Things Inside & Out Stitched Circle dies to create a frame for my coloured image. The patterned paper is from the Lawn Fawn Spring Fling 6×6 paper pack.
Copic Colours Used:
Sky: B000,B00,B01 Grass: YG11,YG13,YG17,BG96 / G00,BG93
Snail: YG01,YG03,BG93 / E84,E87,E89
Frog: YG41,YG45,G85 / YG00,YG01,BG93 / B0000,BV31,C3
Toadstool: E30,E71,E74 / R29,R89,E79 Flowers: R43,R37 / YG63,YG67
