Time for another card featuring Purple Onion Designs stamps! I love using Stacey Yacula’s sweet images to create scenes, and I spent a peaceful hour or so on Sunday afternoon colouring this one.
Sweet Thank You Scene Card
This unlikely pair are just the cutest, and I love how sweet and sentimental this scene turned out with the Distress Oxide background and soft pencil colouring. Full list of Faber-Castell Polychromos pencils used can be found below.
Stamps Used: Puddles (dog), Bella (bunny holding long flower), Birch Tree Background,
To create the scene I stamped the dog and bunny on Bockingford Hot Press Watercolour Paper* using Ranger Archival Ink in Shadow Grey, then stamped them again on Eclipse Masking Tape* to create masks. After applying the masks I stamped the birch tree background. I also created masks for the background, and with all of the masks in place used Distress Oxide Inks* to create the ink blended sky. I then removed the background mask, leaving the ones for the dog and bunny in place and did some ink blending for the grass too.
I then coloured the scene using Faber-Castell Polychromos coloured pencils*, blended for a soft look using Winsor & Newton Sansodor* solvent and blending stumps*.
Distress Oxide Inks Used:
Sky: Blueprint Sketch, Shaded Lilac, Tattered Rose
Grass: Bundled Sage
Faber-Castell Polychromos Pencils Used:

Bunny: Nougat, Warm Gray III, Warm Gray I, Light Flesh
