It’s July, so of course many of us crafters are making a start on festive preparations! With the recent hot summer weather I’ve been cooling myself down with some Christmas in July colouring. I think a snowman card is a pretty good antidote for the summer heat! Make sure you read on to the end of the post for details of the awesome Purple Onion Designs Anniversary Sale too.

Snowflake Snowman Card

This snowman stamp from the Stacey Yacula collection at Purple Onion Designs is so cute. I coloured a simple snowy winter background for him.

Stamps Used: Snowflake (Snowman with top hat & candy cane), Holiday Blurbs II set

I stamped Snowflake on my favourite Make it Colour Blending card, ready for colouring with Copic markers. To give a snowy look I added random spots using a Sakura Gelly Roll white gel pen* on top of the Copic colouring. TIP: make sure to include some dots over your image to make it look like they are really standing in the snow, don’t just put them in the sky!

The patterned paper I used is an old Magnolia Stamps paper, which I’ve been hoarding for years!
