Today I’m delighted to be sharing a card featuring stamps from the latest Purple Onion Designs Stacey Yacula collection – Pine Cone Trail. I used some of the stamps from the new collection, along with an older background stamp to create a fun ice fishing scene card. Read on for all the details, including information about a special offer and full Copic marker details.
Ice Fishing Scene Card Card
The ice fishing bear and bird are two of my favourites from the new collection. They are so cute, and I think they are perfect for creating all sorts of cards throughout the winter: Christmas, friendship, birthdays. They are also easy to colour as whatever bear or bird you like – Arthur could be a brown bear as I chose to colour him, a polar bear, a black bear… Wren could also be any colour of bird you like. As with all of the Stacey Yacula stamps from Purple Onion Designs, they also pair up nicely with older stamps from other collections. One of my favourite things about these stamps is how easily they mix and match, so you can create unique scenes.
Stamps Used: Arthur (ice fishing bear), Wren (bird with fishing net), Ice Hut, Warming Winter Thoughts sentiment set, Home Sweet Home (horizon), Clear Mounting stamps,
I stamped the images on my favourite Make it Colour Blending Card before colouring with Copic Markers. The sky was ink blended using Distress Oxide inks. I added a little glitter to the bobbles on the hats, which you can just about see in the photo.
Special Offer:
Until this Friday – 8th November 2019 – you can buy the whole Pine Cone Trail collection as a bundle with a whopping 30% off! After this the stamps will only be available individually. The new Warming Winter Thoughts sentiment set and Rosemary the Turkey are not included in the bundle.

In my capacity as a design team member for Purple Onion Designs, I receive stamps to work with from the company. I also have a collection of Purple Onion Designs stamps that I have purchased myself. Whether using stamps I have been sent, or stamps I have purchased, all opinions and creative decisions remain my own. I only work with companies/use products that I love.
