I’ve been having more fun with the Stacey Yacula Pine Cone Trail collection from Purple Onion Designs. I filmed the whole process so you can watch me stamping, masking, and colouring my icy pond scene.
Icy Pond Scene Christmas Card
It has been a while since I created a DL sized or “tall skinny” card. Since they’re popular at the moment I thought I’d jump on the trend, because I love the look for scenes.
Don’t ask me why there’s a log on the frozen pond…that’s just where it ended up!
Stamps Used: Clear Mounting Stamp, Rory & Noelle (winter mouse & squirrel on a log), Iclyn (hockey bunny), Storm (hockey penguin), Frozen Pond (horizon), Warming Winter Thoughts sentiment set,
I stamped the images on my favourite Make it Colour Blending Card before colouring with Copic Markers.
Other Supplies shown in the video:
Plastic storage boxes A* / Plastic Storage Boxes B* – I use both styles of box to store my smaller unmounted rubber stamps. Some (but not all) of the dividers are removable so you can create larger slots.
Distress Oxide Inks* / Picket Fence Blender Brushes/Art Institute Glitter Glue* / Sakura Gelly Roll Pen White* / Eclipse Masking Tape*

In my capacity as a design team member for Purple Onion Designs, I receive stamps to work with from the company. I also have a collection of Purple Onion Designs stamps that I have purchased myself. Whether using stamps I have been sent, or stamps I have purchased, all opinions and creative decisions remain my own. I only work with companies/use products that I love.
Hi Elaine, I have just watched and subscribed to your YouTube channel and noticed you used Something on your misty to use with un-mounted rubber stamps , could you please let me know What this is called and where I could purchase this or who supplies them.
Cheers
Lesley Dunbar
Hi Lesley! It is a clear mounting stamp, you will find it linked underneath the card photo in this blog post. 🙂
