I’ve been having fun working my way through some older images in my digital stamp collection. It’s no secret that Krista Leigh Smith (formerly Saturated Canary) is a favourite of mine, and I have so many of her images to colour. The one I used today isn’t currently available anywhere, but I hope you will still enjoy checking it out, and take some inspiration from it!
Hello Friend Card
Printing Krista’s images at a larger size and spending an hour or two colouring is my personal therapy. I usually have an audiobook on at the same time.
Krista’s Patreon – I support Krista over on Patreon with a monthly subscription.
I’ve also just heard that Krista has opened a new online store to replace her Etsy shop, selling digital images and other creative fun, which you can find HERE.
I stamped the image on my favourite Make it Colour Blending Card before colouring with Copic Markers. I also used Faber-Castell Polychromos pencils* to increase the depth and detail in the hair. To finish off, I decided she needed some sparkle so I used my favourite technique with Spica Glitter Pens* and a white Sakura Gelly Roll pen*. To see the sparkly sequin effect technique in action please visit THIS POST.
The sentiment I used is a stamp from the Mama Elephant Paola’s Wishes clear stamp set.
