This year I have promised myself that I will spend more time working with coloured pencils. Aside from markers, coloured pencil is my favourite medium to color with. Many of you have been in touch to ask for more coloured pencil content, so hopefully we will all be happy! Coloured pencil is my preferred way to colour Purple Onion Designs stamps, as it lends that lovely soft textured look. Today I’m sharing a cute bunny thank you card featuring a Purple Onion Designs stamp, coloured using some of my favourite coloured pencils. No video today, but I am going to be working on some coloured pencil videos and other informational content soon!

Purple Onion Designs Carmel Bunny Thank You Card (Coloured Pencils)

Stamps Used: Carmel (bunny holding stuffed bear), Everyday Blurbs

I stamped the image on my favourite card for coloured pencils – Bockingford Hot Pressed Watercolour Card*. I coloured the bunny using coloured pencils, only using the pencils themselves to blend. For the background I used a blending stump and some Winsor & Newton Sansodor* to soften and smooth it out.

Coloured Pencils Used:

To colour my image, I used Caran D’Ache Pablo pencils*. I already had a few of these in my stash, but bought a full set of these in December, and am loving them.

Sky: Bluish Pale, Sky Blue Grassy Hills: Lime Green, Moss Green
Bunny: Brownish Beige, Granite Rose / Sepia, Brownish Beige, Ash Grey / Black
Teddy: Brownish Beige, Salmon Pink, Granite Rose
