Another aim of mine this year is to do more colouring on Kraft paper or similar. I particularly love the effect with coloured pencils, as seen on today’s Purple Onion Designs Clarabelle Cow card.
Clarabelle Cow Card
This cow stamp is so sweet and great fun to colour.
Stamps Used: Clarabelle (cow), Everyday Blurbs
I stamped the image on my Strathmore Toned Tan paper*, then coloured the cow using coloured pencils, only using the pencils themselves to blend. For the background I used a blending stump and some Winsor & Newton Sansodor* to soften and smooth it out.
Coloured Pencils Used:
To colour my image, I used Caran D’Ache Pablo pencils*. I already had a few of these in my stash, but bought a full set of these in December, and am loving them.
Sky: Bluish Pale, Sky Blue Grassy Hills: Lime Green, Moss Green
Cow: Brown Ochre, Light Ochre, Apricot / Brownish Orange, Salmon Pink, Granite Rose / Van Dyck Brown, Brown Ochre, Ochre / Black
Bell: Brown Ochre, Golden Ochre, Orangish Yellow / Scarlet
Collar: Mahogany, Scarlet, Salmon Pink Grass (in mouth): Dark Green, Moss Green

In my capacity as a design team member for Purple Onion Designs, I receive stamps to work with from the company. I also have a collection of Purple Onion Designs stamps that I have purchased myself. Whether using stamps I have been sent, or stamps I have purchased, all opinions and creative decisions remain my own. I only work with companies/use products that I love.
Gorgeous, so cute and as always amazing colouring.x
