I’m delighted to share my card and some fun news today! Our lovely Amy Young of Sweet November Stamps is introducing her first clear stamp sets, and they are A.D.O.R.A.B.L.E. Check out my Mermaid Wiper Surprise card below and get all the details.
Mermaid Wiper Surprise Card
The Merwees are the cutest little mermaid stamps. You get several in the set, along with a couple of sentiments and some little underwater friends for them. I had lots of fun colouring them to create this card, and I’ve got a few other cards to share with you soon! There is also another set being released today, featuring their big sisters the Mermees – I’ll be sharing a card featuring that set next week.
When you pull the card open, another cutie appears!
Stamps Used: Merwees #1, plus sentiments from an old Waltzing Mouse Stamps set. If you’re in the UK, Amy Gould will have these stamps in her Crafty Purple Frog store.
Dies Used: Mama Elephant Wiper Surprise die set
Stencil Used: MFT Make Waves Stencil 6×6
I stamped the images on my favourite Make it Colour Blending Card before colouring with Copic Markers. To create the card I used a stencil and Distress Oxide inks (Dried Marigold, Squeezed Lemonade, Tumbled Glass Blueprint Sketch) on Strathmore Bristol Smooth Surface card to create the backgrounds, before die cutting. I used the stencil to pencil in the top wave line on the front panel, then cut by hand using scissors. I also cut the mermaids out by hand using detail scissors.
