Today I’m sharing a cute coloured pencil fox card. It has been a little while since I played with my coloured pencils, and life has been a little stressful, so I took some time out to just relax and colour.

Bentley Fishing Fox Card

Love this little guy! He’s one of the cute critters from the Stacey Yacula Sunshine Lake collection at Purple Onion Designs.

Stamps Used: Bentley (fishing fox), Sunshiny Sentiment set
Dies Used: MFT Inside and Out Stitched Circle STAX Dienamics

I stamped the image on Bazzill Basics Kraft cardstock* then masked using Eclipse Masking Tape*, so that I could add the splash in the background using Distress Oxide Ink -Salty Ocean. I would let you know the details of the stencil, but it is one I have had for a long time and there is no manufacturer info on it! I did the same on my main card panel, and outlined all of the splashes with a white pencil. The fox was coloured using Caran D’Ache Luminance pencils*, including some of the brand new colours that just came out in a separate set.

Fox fur: Cassel Earth,Natural Russet,Terracotta,Apricot / Cassel Earth,Brown Ochre 10%,Buff Titanium
Fox ears: Light Aubergine,Herculanum Red
Jacket/Hat/Boots: Burnt Sienna,Dark Phthalocyanine Green,Dark English Green,Middle Verdigris
Stripes: Burnt Sienna,Cornelian,Orange Rod: Sepia 50%, Brown Ochre 10%
