For today’s card, I used both an old image and an old set of pencils from my collection! Watch my Mermaid Anya Coloured Pencil Video below to see how this classic Anya stamp came to life. You will also find a full list of the pencils used, and at the end I also share a few thoughts on the Derwent Coloursoft range of pencils.

Derwent Coloursoft Thoughts:
After buying and playing with the new larger set of Derwent Chromaflow coloured pencils* recently, I thought I would dig out my box of Derwent Coloursoft pencils* and see how they compared. I knew they weren’t a favourite, but couldn’t quite remember why.
Overall, I would recommend the new Chromaflow pencils over the Coloursoft range. Both are a softer pencil, but the Coloursoft have a scratchy, chalky feel to me, whereas the Chromaflow pencils have a nice creamy laydown, much like Prismacolor. The Coloursoft pencils are also less vibrant and pigmented. Given the similar price point, it’s a bit of a no-brainer.
