Don’t adjust your device, what you’re seeing is real. A card from me, with no colouring! It has been quite a while… Read on to get all the details on my Spellbinders Dancin’ Dragon birthday card.
Dancin’ Dragon Birthday Card
I attended a craft show with Dies to Die For a couple of weeks ago, along with my lovely team-mates Sue and Ash. It really renewed my enthusiasm and interest in some of the different products and techniques. I of course, did some crafty shopping and came home with lots of new goodies. I also had a think about a couple of the bigger items I was looking at, and ended up ordering those from Dies to Die For online a little later. Ahem. With Stamping Bella on a little temporary break at the moment with the new website in progress, I had some extra time to play. One of my favourite purchases at the show was the adorable little Dancin’ Dragon from Spellbinders. Once upon a time I was a big fan of Spellbinders, and had lots of their dies and products, then I fell out of love as their style didn’t really match mine for quite a while. I hadn’t been paying attention in the last few years, but thanks to Ash my eyes were opened and I discovered that they have some amazing products right now!
Dies Used: Spellbinders S3-497 Dancin’ Birthday Dragon, Spellbinders S5-614 Birthday Balloons die set, Spellbinders S5-619 Make a Wish Arch Labels die set, Lawn Fawn Outside In Stitched Cloud Stackables,
Stamps Used: Lawn Fawn LF446 So Much to Say clear stamp set
Paper Used: Assorted coloured cardstock (mixture of Bazzill and others from my box of scraps), MFT 6×6 pad
The little dragon’s body moves. It’s a really simple mechanism, the body has a ring at the top which you can use to attach it using a foam pad. I used two foam pads to ensure that the body could move freely. This is the first time I created using this set, so I replicated the dragon shown on the packaging. I’ve since made a few more, which I will share soon, and I played around with different colours and yes…I have done a Copic marker coloured version too! Can’t stay away from those markers for too long…
One thing I’m loving about the Spellbinders die sets, is that they come separated. No snipping of metal tabs. I so appreciate that!
The Make a Wish Arch Labels die set is another current favourite. I’ve used it on a few different cards already, so you will see it popping up quite a bit.
Thanks for stopping by!
