The new Paul Antonio Copperplate Happy Everything Sentiments BetterPress Plates* from Spellbinders are so beautiful. I shared a post featuring the larger plates HERE, and today I’ve got a card to share using one of the smaller sentiments from the Happy Birthday and Everything set*, together with dies and a 3D embossing folder from the Spellbinders La Dolce Vita Collection*.
Copperplate refers to the calligraphy style of the lettering. These are the usual BetterPress plates, which work beautifully for a letterpress effect using the BetterPress system, or hot foiled using the Glimmer system as I have done. This particular set includes two smaller sentiments, together with matching dies to cut them out. The larger sentiments in my previous post are just the BetterPress plates as they are a much larger size.
Everything was die cut from the beautiful Spellbinders ColorWheel Cardstock*. I received my dies and embossing folder in The Weekender event kit, and this card was inspired by one of Cathy Zielske’s cards. I haven’t played a great deal with embossing folders beyond simply embossing paper with them, but I really loved the look of this one inked up with the Hero Hues Reactive Ink* as Cathy had done for her class card, so I gave it a go! Such a cheerful summery birthday card with some really pretty details thanks to the flowers in the Citrus Spritz die set with the lemon.
