Taking a little break from the Halloween fun (definitely only a little one) I’ve been playing with the new City Holiday Collection by Yana Smakula* at Spellbinders*. Yana had designed some absolutely gorgeous die sets and BetterPress plates, and I’ve really been enjoying using them. Lots of ideas percolating!
Apparently the Lisa Horton Bow & Bell Scalloped Frame die set* has made itself a favourite on my craft desk at the moment, because that one pops up again too! What can I say, I love a scalloped frame, and while at first glance it isn’t the most exciting of the recent releases, it is definitely very useful!

With the Shadow Joy die set* you get some different options for customising the shadow. You can just use the top layer and shadow layer as I have, or you can use additional pieces to add another colour to the shadow layer.
I wanted to add a hot foiled sentiment using the new Christmas Cheer Press Plate & Die Set* from the collection, but mine hadn’t arrived when I made this card, so I borrowed a die cut sentiment from the Christmas Cracker etched dies set*.
