TIME for Halloween fun! My third card in the little series featuring the new Cuckoo Cottage Collection from Spellbinders* is unsurprisingly my favourite! You can see my first card HERE and my second card HERE. Today’s card features the brilliant Halloween themed add on set.

My friend Sue Hastead suggested I try creating a fun fold card she had seen on Sam Calcott’s YouTube channel. Sam has some great fun fold card tutorials. I followed the Floating Hammock Fold Card tutorial.

This card didn’t turn out exactly as planned, and there are a couple of things I would tweak if making it again. I had already created the cuckoo clock element, and made it quite layered and thick, so it is on the heavier side. I found that I needed to use quite a thick acetate to hold it without flopping forward – I had an old pack of Clearly for Art modeling film, which is really thick. Because of this, the floating panel needed a little playing with to sit fully open, and also because of the thickness of the elements, the card doesn’t fold down totally flat. I still love it though, and it makes a really fun display!

I used Spellbinders ColorWheel Cardstock* for all of the elements, and added some more ghosty fun with the Simon Hurley Boo Crew die set*.

There are four die sets in the Cuckoo Cottage collection, the base set and three add on sets, which you can buy separately or in a discounted bundle*. There is also a Cuckoo Cottage Sentiments BetterPress Plate & Die set* with some themed sentiments, which I have used on all of the cards.
