Back in October Sweet November Stamps* had an awesome digital stamp release of Howl-o-Ween Pups, which included an image inspired by my own pup Arthur, spectacularly well timed so I could make a special birthday card. You can see the original card HERE. Arthur has several special people in his life, who have helped us with the ups and downs over the past few years, including trainers, a behaviourist, a wonderful chiropractor, and an awesome hydrotherapist. So I wanted to make some special cards for Team Arthur!
Arthur Christmas Shaker Cards

I took the photo of my original card and isolated the image of Arthur, then printed him out on some inkjet friendly shrink plastic sheets. I started out with a 3″ print out of him, which shrunk down to about 1″, then I created a sheet of even smaller Arthurs. That gave me some nice sized Arthur’s for the front of the card, and some smaller Arthurs to add to the shaker element. I also reduced the opacity of the images to around 65% so that the pieces wouldn’t be too dark after shrinking. I could possibly have gone slightly lighter with the print outs, but these worked fine. Please do take care if you would like to try this yourself, and check with the stamp company regarding their angel p0licies. You could also hand stamp and colour on shrink plastic, I haven’t tried that yet though!
