Unfortunately there’s no card from me today, again. Wednesdays are just rolling around far too quickly at the moment, and I have a million things to get done!
It doesn’t help that the challenge this week over at Quixotic Challenges is to use Embossing on your project, and recently in a clear out I got rid of all my embossing folders etc. Brilliant! I hadn’t even remembered that until I sat down to ponder what I could make. Genius. I’m sure most of you haven’t made such a rash move though, so do pop over to the challenge blog and play along!
Anyway, I’ve been busy preparing things for the next couple of weeks, which are going to be BUSY here on the blog. There’s the new SCACD release and blog hop, and previews from a couple of other fab companies…aaaaaaaaaannnnnnd….a big blog hop on Tuesday which I will tell you more about this weekend!
It’s Wednesday, so, here’s a peek of my work area for WOYWW. Not quite as neat as the last couple of weeks. You can see a dumping ground starting to develop on one of the desks… There are several things hiding in that pile that I can’t show you till next week (click the pic for a larger version).
And here’s a closer look at what I was working on yesterday. These backgrounds are for a couple of next week’s projects. A first for me – creating a background using Distress Inks and Shimmerz. I’m quite happy with how they turned out, and I may well continue experimenting! You can also see some Post-It Copic lists on the sewing machine. At the moment, if it doesn’t move, it may well end up with a Post-It on it!
That’s it! I’ve got a fun filled day of housework and playing catch up! I’ll be back tomorrow with a Stamping Bella card to show you, and Friday is SCACD Blog Hop day! Phew!
I saw this challenge and went “OH NO!!”. I rarely use embossing folders so I parcelled them up and sent them to a friend who’d just bought a cuttlebug but had no folders. Duh!
Your desk is looking a little more cluttered! My offer still stands if you’d like me to de-clutter for you? Hmmmm?
Love Elaine xx

Oooh what a wonderfull big and light workspace. I love your desk, those drawers look so convenient!
I have too much stuff too, but I could never get rid of it. I’m a clutter keeper 🙂

In that short space of craftyness, everything you have I haven’t got! I’m really missing out, and now wondering if my dad still uses a shaving brush!

[…] I go, a couple of people asked about the brushes on my desk in my WOYWW pics this week. They are “Ink Dusters“. I love them for applying and blending Distress […]

Love the backgrounds you’ve created 🙂 I’ve wondered about the ink dusters versus cut’n’dry. I suppose the sensible thing to do would be try them out and see how they compare
