You may be wondering if you’ve come to the right blog today! Don’t worry, you’re in the right place, I have indeed got a very clean and simple card to share with you today! No colouring, no Copics, just crystals, Kraft cardstock and ribbon!
Since the Bazzill Jewel Templates arrived, I have been obsessed. Last night I happened to have some Kraft cardstock sitting on my desk, along with the templates and crystals. The need for a simple, easy to repeat Christmas card design has been on my mind lately, as Christmas is fast approaching, and so this is what happened!
This snowflake design is from the Christmas template set, and I can definitely see it appearing on my more detailed Christmas cards too.
The templates can be used for accenting more detailed cards, as in my previous post, creating simple yet striking card designs, or for adding accents to beautiful scrapbook pages, or anything else that takes your fancy really – altered items etc! Use them with the Bazzill Adhesive Jewel packs to coordinate with other Bazzill items, or mix it up and use them with half-pearls, other crystals and gems.
For many items I’d be tempted to use the templates to mark the crystal positions, then apply hot-fix crystals with a hot-fix applicator. I’ve just hunted mine out for exactly this purpose!
News and Upcoming Events:
I’d also like to draw your attention to the first Guest DT creation from the Quixotic Paperie “Miss September running into October” – Jo Nevill. Jo has created a lovely card using one of the Helz Cuppleditch stamp designs from Stampavie. Go take a peek and let her know what you think!
This Wednesday the DT and I have a little Quixotic Paperie event for you – the first in a series of monthly mini DT challenges. Each member of the DT and this month’s guest have been provided with the same stamp image to work with in whatever way they choose. Drop by on Wednesday to see which stamp we’ve used, and the variety of creations we’ve come up with! There will also be a prize up for grabs, so definitely pop Wednesday 16th September in your diaries!
Finally for today, I’d like to let you all know about another exciting event I’m involved in, taking place this weekend.
The fabulous Claudia – Pretty Pressings – has organised a blog hop, featuring some very talented ladies! I’m honoured to be taking part with them all. Many of you will be familiar with some of the names, others may be new to you, all are definitely an inspiration! The blog hop begins on Saturday 19th September, and with a huge prize to be won, plus candy treats along the way, you won’t want to miss it!
If you would like to check out some of the blogs being featured before the blog hop starts, you can find all the links in my sidebar, under the “Stampers United” banner.
