Things I’m probably playing with

  • Copic Markers

  • Coloured pencils

  • Distress Oxides

  • One layer stamped and masked scenes

Who Am I?

I am a stamper and paper-crafter with particular enthusiasm for colouring. Since childhood I have enjoyed experimenting with a variety of crafty pursuits, rubber stamping and playing with paper are a couple that stuck! Around 2008 I discovered Copic markers and my love for colouring took over.

While markers are my “go to” colouring medium, I love to play with a variety of different products and learn new techniques. You will see a variety of media in use here on this blog. In 2024 I have rediscovered the joy of die cutting and ink blending.

I live in the South West of England with my partner Paul. In October 2019 we said goodbye to our beautiful Staffordshire Bull Terrier girlie Taika. She was almost 14 years old and we miss her every day. At the end of October 2022 we welcomed a gorgeous Staffordshire Bull Terrier boy to our home. He’s called Arthur and he has been keeping us very busy ever since!

Alongside posting and creating content for this website, I also work for Stamping Bella, coming up with ideas for new stamp designs and preparing them for manufacture. I also colour and create video content for Stamping Bella.

Why “Marker Geek”?

Pretty simple! I love markers and I’m a bit of a geek. Stick around and you’ll get a good sense of that.

From June 2009 to June 2015 I ran an online paper-crafts retail store – a fantastic journey that ended in the realisation that I would much rather be creating and sharing, rather than posting products to other people to play with!

How I work & who I work with

I would like to share with you some details on how I and this website work.

First and foremost, I want to be clear that I only work with companies and products that I love.

You will see a lot of Stamping Bella related content on this website. I am proud to have been the colourist for Stamping Bella since around 2014. At one time I coloured all of the images for the packaging inserts and website product images. Now I work for Stamping Bella coming up with ideas for new stamps and seeing them through to manufacture.

Here in the UK I also support one of our wonderful UK based online retailers – Dies to Die For. I do receive a discount against purchases, but select and purchase all of the products I use. I choose to link to them here as a reliable and trusted supplier of popular overseas brands here in the UK/Europe.

I currently also work with Sweet November Stamps as a member of their design team, mostly working with their clear stamp releases.

In order to offset the costs of running the website and allow me to spend more time creating content to share with you I also sometimes participate in affiliate programs. Affiliate links incur no extra costs for you, but do give me a small commission when you use them to make purchases, and are a great way for you to support me in sharing with you at no cost to yourself. I only link to products and services that I use and value.
