Carmen Medlin – Guardian of Hearth & Home – SCACD Stamps

Susana has surprised us with a pre-Christmas release at SCACD Stamps!  There are three fabulous stamps, one from each artist – Carmen Medlin, Elisabeth Bell and Victoria Case.

For my project today I have used the new Carmen Medlin for SCACD Stamps design – GUARDIAN OF HEARTH & HOME.  Isn’t she gorgeous?  You can also find Guardian of Hearth & Home in the UK at my store – Quixotic Paperie.

I was feeling a little inspired by Tim Holtz and his Twelve Tags of Christmas posts, so I decided to create a tag to hang on my Christmas tree.  I’ve used a couple of Tim Holtz Alterations Dies and one of his Texture Fades embossing folders.   I also coloured the tag using Distress Inks and Glimmer Mist prior to embossing the snowflake design.

I coloured the gorgeous image using Copic Markers and accented with Glamour Dust on her wings, and Viva Decor Gloss Gel – Transparent on the snowglobe in her hand.

I’m a little in love – this image is definitely a new favourite, and I’m already planning more projects with her.  There may even be a colouring video on the way soon!
