Many of you will be aware that the past month has been an extremely difficult one for me. Sadly my father passed away last month.  He was in hospital, but deteriorated suddenly, so it was quite unexpected. There has been a lot to sort out following his death, and so as you can imagine I haven’t had much energy or inclination for crafting, or for blogging.

It’s still difficult, but I’m making some time for myself to play with my craft supplies without any deadlines, pressure or expectations. There is definitely something therapeutic about playing with paper and ink with no real goal in mind!

My online store Quixotic Paperie was closed for almost a month, while I dealt with the various things that needed attention, got over an infection and generally coped with the whole situation. During that time I received so much support from my online friends via FaceBook and email, and I’m so thankful for you all! The show must of course, go on, and Dad most definitely wouldn’t want me sitting around moping. Some days are more difficult than others, but staying busy definitely helps.

Now that Quixotic Paperie is open again, there are some special offers on as a thank you for everyone’s patience and support.  These offers will continue until the store closes for Christmas, which will be in early December, as I need an actual break.  Please bear this in mind if you’d like to stock up on crafty essentials, or if you have items on your Christmas wishlist.  The store will most likely close from 10th December until the New Year.

At the moment you can enjoy at least 10% off the entire stock, with a whopping 40% off Whimsy Stamps, 25% off MFT Die-Namics and Clear Stamps, and 20% off Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps.

While I’m not creating cards at the moment, I do have a few that I created before October that I have yet to share, so I will schedule a few blog posts for the coming weeks.

Again, thank you all so much for your continued support. It means a lot.
