If you’ve been reading this blog for a while, you will know that one of my crafty obsessions is Mama Elephant. I may not get around to blogging as many creations using their stamps and dies as I would like, but I absolutely love them. I’m always stalking Dies to Die For here in the UK for the new releases. The new Holiday 2019 release was no exception, I think most of it landed in my basket. Enough of my crafty confessions though, I’ve got a card and video to share!

The Penguin’s Waddle Card

Some of my favourite Mama Elephant stamps are this large group style. They make for such fun and eye-catching cards, and there are lots of ways to play with them. I went for the most obvious approach, but I’ve already got some more ideas brewing! I’ll admit, I’m a little obsessed with the large sentiment dies too, I love their style.

Stamps & Dies Used: Mama Elephant The Penguin’s Waddle stamp set & coordinating die set

I stamped the image on my favourite Make it Colour Blending Card before colouring with Copic Markers. The sky background was created using Distress Oxide inks and a Picket Fence Life Changing Blender Brush. The die cut sentiment comes in the coordinating The Penguin’s Waddle die set, and was cut using Flamingo Pink non-shed glitter card from Ping Frog Crafts & Cards. I added the “snow” spatter using Winsor & Newton Gouache in Permanent White* with a cheap fan brush.

Watch me colour this stamp and create the card above in the video below. If you enjoy watching please do like the video and subscribe over on my YouTube channel. I neglected to mention in the video, but it jumps straight into the colouring because my Distress Oxide blending footage was corrupted. It wasn’t that exciting though! If you want to see me playing with Distress Oxides, check out the other card-making videos on my channel.
