I’ve got a decent stack of Christmas cards right now, but need to get cracking with making more of the little extras. The Christmas favour bag I’m sharing today will be perfect for gifting little treats.

Christmas Favour Bag

This image makes me smile, it’s so joyful. I love snowman stamps, especially Stacey Yacula’s illustrations.

Stamps Used: Bianca & Neve (snowman and winter bird), Holiday Blurbs II

I stamped the image on my favourite paper for coloured pencil – Bockingford Hot Pressed Watercolour Paper* and masked using Eclipse Masking Tape* to add a Distress Oxide* ink blended sky before colouring with Derwent Procolour coloured pencils* (list below).

The bag was created using the Mama Elephant Favor Bag XL Creative Cuts die set. I cut the bag from Maja Design Christmas Season paper. I also used the Mama Elephant Mini Merry Messages stamp set on the tag, and added a little jingle bell.

I wanted to decorate the back of the bag too, so I used some old Magnolia DooHickey dies from my stash, and added some glitter. The die cut snowflakes on the front of the bag are an older Penny Black die set.

Derwent Procolour Pencils Used:

Snow/Snowman: Gunmetal, Blue Violet Lake, Felt Grey, Chinese White
Carrot: Venetian Red, Autumn Leaf, Sunset Gold
Twig Arms: Burn Umber, Van Dyke Brown
Bird: Nutmeg, Terracotta / Burnt Umber, Van Dyke Brown / Sunset Gold
Hat/Scarf: Racing Green, Spruce Green, Moss Green, Light Moss / Nutmeg, Terracotta, Salmon

In my capacity as a design team member for Purple Onion Designs, I receive stamps to work with from the company. I also have a collection of Purple Onion Designs stamps that I have purchased myself. Whether using stamps I have been sent, or stamps I have purchased, all opinions and creative decisions remain my own. I only work with companies/use products that I love.
