I’m starting to play with some of my scene ideas for the TGF Spellbinding Kit characters. Allowing myself some pure “just for the fun of it” colouring time is proving to be really good for me. Not that I don’t enjoy my design team work, but there’s a lot to be said for some no pressure, no deadlines, play time. Check out my Thank My Lucky Stars card scene below, along with the marker details.

Thank My Lucky Stars Card

This one involved some experimenting and fiddling with colour choices. I wanted to keep the colours on the characters fun but somewhat desaturated to give a nod to the fact that this is a nighttime scene. At first I went a little too pale with the skin-tones, which left the girls looking a little zombie-like (which gives me a fun idea for a Halloween card…), but because I started out too pale I was able to layer more colour to give them a bit of life. It is always easier to add colour than it is to take it away!
