Again this year I signed up for the Spellbinders* The Weekender event. I enjoyed last year’s box and classes so much, I couldn’t resist ordering the 2026 box, especially when the theme is absolutely perfect for some upcoming birthdays and projects.

If you haven’t bought your box yet, you can still grab it at Spellbinders. The event is on May 29th through May 30th, and there will be several virtual classes to attend. You can attend the classes live or watch the recording, so if timings don’t work you won’t miss out. I attended a couple of virtual card-making retreats last year, and The Weekender was my favourite.

If you’re in the UK I purchased my box from Dies to Die For HERE – I believe that Tracy currently has one or two left in stock at the time of typing this post.

There is a big difference with this year’s kit. Spellbinders have stated that the products in the box are EXCLUSIVE to the box, and will not be released separately. In previous years many of the dies were released individually after the event.

I love the theme of this year’s box so much, I couldn’t resist playing with some of the products as soon as it arrived, so I do have a card to share! I’ve made a couple, but one is based on one of the class projects, so I will save that card until the event is over.

Cardmaking inspiration featuring Spellbinders The Weekender Goes Wild Tiki Toucan & Jungle Blooms die sets.

Isn’t the toucan gorgeous? A really lovely die cut to assemble too. I’ll be playing with this one again soon along with some of the other dies in the kit, as I have a special birthday card to create that this little guy is perfect for. I’m sure I’ll follow along with the event classes featuring him too!
