Please do stick with me to the end of this post – I’ve got a poll I would love to get your input on!

If you follow me on Instagram or Facebook, you may have seen me pointing everyone back here. I’ve been struggling with social media for a long time, and lately it’s felt really heavy. I’m still feeling creative (when the summer heat isn’t wearing me out), it’s the constant posting, checking, tagging, and scrolling that’s been draining.
Recently I shared a card without posting it on social media, and it felt wonderfully freeing. It reminded me how much those tiny obligations add to our mental load. Social media has changed so much, and I’ve felt increasingly disconnected there. The positives just don’t outweigh the negatives for me anymore.
So, what’s next? I’m still here — and hoping to share more — especially deeper, more useful content right here on my blog. I’m also using the extra time to tidy up and update things behind the scenes.
Summer in the UK
This summer has been exhausting. The heat and humidity have made my craft room unusable for large parts of the day, so creative work has slowed. Editing videos and writing posts has felt like a slog, but I do have fun cards and colouring videos waiting, I just need the energy to finish them.
YouTube Membership Update
I’ve closed my YouTube membership, at least for now. Time pressures and a lack of motivation have meant I fell behind on creating the extra monthly content, and I’ve been feeling the pressure. Thank you so much to everyone who supported me, and apologies for the quiet spell — it’s been a roller‑coaster year.
I’ll still be making regular Stamping Bella videos for the new releases, and additional videos will no doubt pop up as and when on my channel and here on the blog.
Content-wise, I’d really like to spend time creating helpful content that you need and want to see, so please do give me your opinions in the poll at the end of this post!

Life Update
There are a few reasons I’ve been struggling to balance everything this year. Early on, a blood test showed that my ferritin levels were really low (basically depleted iron stores), which explains the fatigue and other annoying symptoms I’ve been dealing with. I’ve been working on improving things, but it’s definitely not an overnight fix.
Alongside that, I’ve been studying. Our dog Arthur has had numerous challenges, and they’ve inspired me to learn more so I can help him. This year I completed a diploma in canine massage therapy. Dogs – along with crafting – are one of my greatest loves, so this has been an exciting, absorbing journey, and one I’m sure will continue.

I’m still working for Stamping Bella, helping to bring you the wonderful rubber stamps we all love, and supporting the business in the customer service role, as well as creating with the stamps.
So as you can see, there has been a lot to adjust to, and I’m trying to find the balance. Bear with me – I’m not planning on going anywhere, I just need to find the rhythm!

Have Your Say!
Here goes! I really want to hear from you, about what sort of content you would like to see. I will of course be continuing to post cards and other papercraft projects, along with my usual colouring videos. But I would love to know what other content you would appreciate. I’m so relieved to hear you’re not going away permanently, I’ve learned so much from your coloring videos and you’ve given me the confidence to color cute images. I watch your videos on repeat and look forward to seeing more. With that being said, Social Media can be too much, I’m not on social media lots because I get drained from it, and I just don’t have all that much to say or share. Thanks for sharing your talents and inspiring us! We appreciate it and you!
Hey Donna, thank you for taking the time to leave a comment! Definitely not going anywhere, just tired of wasting time on the endless social media scroll. It’s hard to break away from it, but I think it will be worthwhile! So happy that my videos have helped you gain the confidence to colour cute images, that’s really lovely to hear. Thank you for watching and saying hi.
